Trees of the Season - Holiday Tree Decorating Contest on Display

Embracing the spirit of the holiday season, The Town of Oakland and the Healthy West Orange Arts & Heritage Center are thrilled to announce the launch of Trees of the Season, a much-anticipated Annual Tree Decorating Contest.  This merry season-long event promises to transform the Arts & Heritage Center into a festive wonderland of creativity and community spirit.

 The public is invited to vote on their favorite tree beginning Saturday, November 18, 2023, from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Healthy West Orange Arts & Heritage Center, located at 126 W. Petris Ave., Oakland. There they will enjoy admiring 16 trees with dazzling decorations, festive lights, and imaginative ornaments. From traditional themes to avant-garde expressions, the contest encourages a diverse array of styles that capture the essence of the holiday season.

 This year’s participants include residents, businesses, and organizations within the Town of Oakland and beyond. View the creations of Acupuncture by Molly LLC, Family Church, Goldfish Swim School - Winter Garden, Hot Dog Therapy, Kelly Zannini – Realtor, LiveTrends Design Group, Johns Cove Neighborhood, OACS Spirit Squad, Oakland Nature Preserve, Oakland Police Department, Observer Media Group, Orange Blossom Market Co., Reformation Chiropractic, State Farm Insurance – Shannon Till, State Farm Insurance – Jo Barsh, and The Glam Lounge Central Florida. 

 The 3rd annual Trees of the Season begins this Saturday from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. with a special opening at the Healthy West Orange Arts & Heritage Center. Visitors will have the opportunity to view and cast their votes for their favorite tree from November 18, 2023, through January 4, 2024.
