[ARCHIVED] The Town of Oakland Welcomes Andy Stewart as New Town Manager

After a nationwide search, the Town of Oakland has selected Andy Stewart as Town Manager starting June 1, 2023. 

Stewart was most recently the Town Manager for Kitty Hawk, North Carolina for six years. His vast experience also includes Assistant City Manager for the City of Satellite Beach, Town manager for the Town of Dundee, and Assistant City Manager for the City of Auburndale.

A native Floridian, Stewart graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Business Administration and a Masters degree in Public Administration. He is also certified in emergency management. 

“This was a culmination of a lot of hard work for a lot of people,” Mayor Kathy Stark said. “We’re very excited that he will be joining us. … He’s excited; we’re excited.”

“I am thrilled to return to Florida and lead the Town of Oakland and continuing to preserve the small-town charm. I look forward to bringing a fresh set of eyes to Oakland, while protecting the many treasures Oakland has to offer,” Stewart said.
