Tropical Storm Milton

10/6/24 10:21 a.m. update

Sand Bags

Available starting Monday, October 7, 2024  |  8 a.m. - 5 p.m. 

In preparation for heavy rains, sandbags are available for Oakland residents to help protect your homes. 

10 bags, per household. Please bring a photo ID. 

Pick-up Location: Town Hall: 230 N. Tubb St.  

Orange County, Florida Government is offering sand bags. Click here for more info.

Self Serve Sandbag Fill Location

Town Operations

All Town services and facilities are open for normal operation hours. 

  • The Town Commission Meeting will meet on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. in the Oakland Meeting Hall
  • The Oakland Farmers Market is cancelled on Thursday, October 10, 2024

Oakland Avenue Charter School

Following OCPS, OACS will be closed for teachers and students on Wednesday, Oct. 9 and Thursday, October 10. 

Trash Collection

The Town is actively coordinating with Waste Management and will share updates about any changes to waste collection services on our website and Facebook page.

Oakland Avenue Charter School

The Oakland Avenue Charter School is closely monitoring the storm. At this time, there are no changes to the normal school schedule.

Orange County Schools

At this time, there are no changes to the normal school schedule.
