A Thank You to Duke Energy from the Town of Oakland
One of the jobs none of us would want right now is deciding who gets electricity first after a storm – and a lot are still without power. The logical and right decision is make the energizing of critical and essential public facilities and infrastructure the first priority – things like water and sewer facilities, hospitals, police and fire departments and schools. This is exactly what Debbie Clements, our Duke Energy rep, is doing. In Oakland, our residents rely on our water plant to provide a safe and dependable water supply as a first priority. Yes, it was running on a generator but that has its limitations. Thank you Debbie (and Duke) for getting us back online last night.
Sincerely,
Dennis Foltz
